Bear

When I first saw that Kevin Byrd was presenting at Creative Mornings I knew I had to go. I loved his approach to material explorations and minimalism, but mostly I was in love with his bear design and I wanted to press it. I've consistently found favorable responses to the requests for collaboration, but Kevin Byrd was among the first I approached.

To say I love this piece in letterpress is an understatement. Everything about this job was stunning. The die that created the print is as beautiful as the print itself. The minor imperfections that arose in the print expressed both of our opinions that minimalism is about letting something be what it is. It's the marriage of material and the process.
