I originally intended this piece as a commentary on Valentine's Day and broken hearts. The devastation that comes as we attempt explorations in love. In light of the statistics from mass shootings over the last decade and the appalling number of them during 2015, the piece is finding new purpose.
I'm donating the 50% of the profits from this art to benefit everytown. As someone who learned to use a firearm for the sole purpose of understanding safety around them and responsible use, I am not against ownership or use, but the trafficking, violence and regulations surrounding them must change, lenspeace believes in the power of art to heal wounds. May this art make a tiny attempt at preventing more broken hearts as the result of gun violence.
**prints are assorted bullet sizes, .40, .9mm, .357, .22mm, and are sold in a variety of shooting patterns.**
